About Me

Hi, I’m Jason Slone, PhD, CCFC, — aka “Dr. J.”

I’m a Certified College Financial Consultant (CCFC), and a former University Dean.

A CCFC is like a CPA but for college, financial aid, and student loans.

With 20+ years of experience in higher ed and the financial side of college planning, I love to show parents how the system works so they can save money, time, and stress.

I help with all areas of college financial planning and student loans:

Filling out the financial aid forms
Positioning income and assets to get more aid (where possible)
Searching for colleges that will give you the best deals
Finding scholarships
Appealing financial aid award offers to get more money
Choosing the right loans and loan repayment plans, if loans are needed

PS - I also eat my own cooking. I’m the parent of 3, with 2 in college now who’ll graduate debt-free.
